Injectables are substances that are
injected into areas in the skin to reduce wrinkles, add volume to cheeks
and thicken lips in order to enhance the appearance of the face. At the
Hunstad Center we use the leading, most effective products that will

Botox®
The Hunstad is proud to provide Botox Cosmetic®! Age, sun and
stress can all contribute to facial lines and wrinkles which can deepen
over time, making us look less than rested. Some of these lines can now
be minimized, and in some cases erased, thanks to the help of Botox®
Cosmetic!
Botox Cosmetic is an FDA approved prescription injection containing
dilute amounts of Clostridium botulinum. In these small amounts, it is
very effective in the relaxation of specific muscles. This controlled
relaxation inhibits our ability to contract muscles that lead to deep
lines and wrinkles. Botox has been approved for use in minimizing frown
lines between the brows, but can be used in other areas as well, such as
in the forehead, bunny lines and crow's feet.
The effects can be seen within days and can last up to 4-6 months! Most
common side effects with Botox Cosmetic are: bruising, tenderness and/or
swelling to the treated area. These side effects are temporary and
resolve within days. Occasionally, eyelid droop may be seen after
injection. This is caused by migration of the solution directly after
injection. It is important not to rub the area for at least 12 hours and
lying down should be avoided for 3-4 hours following injection.

Dysport®
Dysport is a popular injectable that consists of botulinum toxin A. This
particular ingredient helps to temporarily relax the muscles in the
injected area and minimizes wrinkles and fine lines. Dysport involves
three to five relatively painless injections and is a simple and
effective treatment. Results are amazing and makes individuals look
younger and refreshed.
Restylane®
Restylane is a dermal filler comprised of hyaluronic acid that helps to
add volume and elasticity to your skin. Restylane reduces the appearance
of fine lines and wrinkles and leaves you with healthy younger looking
skin. Results are long lasting which is why Restylane is one of the
leading dermal fillers.
Perlane®
Perlane provides rejuvenating treatments for younger, natural looking
skin. Made of hyaluronic acid, Perlane restores fullness and helps to
smooth out facial wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nasolabial
folds. Perlane is also commonly used as a lip enhancer.
Radiesse®
Radiesse is an injectable filler used to treat deep lines and wrinkles
in the face. Radiesse works to restore lost volume by stimulating the
production of collagen. Patients enjoy the benefit of this quick,
simple
and convenient filler and experience immediate, long lasting results.
Radiesse
is a pure, synthetic compound comprised of
microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite, combined with an aqueous
gel. The key element of Radiesse
is identical to the chemical structure of calcium naturally present
in the human body. Throughout its life,
Radiesse remains soft and
flexible and also exceptionally compatible with the body.
When injected, the cream-like texture of
Radiesse feels soft and
natural. Unlike temporary treatments that must be repeated,
Radiesse provides years of
rejuvenation. It is gradually replaced by the body’s own tissue, and
slowly dissolves away.
Sculptra®
Sculptra® is an FDA approved injectable filler used to treat wrinkles
and deep nasolabial folds. This non-surgical treatment contains poly-L-
lactic acid which is used in multiple treatments to replace lost
collagen. Sculptra treatments work gradually and overtime restores
volume to your face leaving you with a youthful looking appearance. The
results of Sculptra treatment can last up to two years.
