Liposonix is a very exciting FDA approved technology for the localized treatment of fat.  This high-intensity focused ultrasound utilizes what is known as HIFU.  A complex computerized scanning head, sits directly on the skin as controlled ultrasonic beams come together beneath the skin to heat and destroy fat cells.  In a one-hour time frame, the lower abdomen and love handles can be treated reducing a woman's dress size by one and the abdominal waist circumference by 1 inch.  We have found that one hour, one treatment, one dress size and one 1 inch.

Dr. and Mrs. Hunstad traveled to Hayward California to visit SOLTA Corporation and view where the Liposonix is constructed. They were extremely impressed with the facility, the devices, as well as the personnel and management of the company.

The Liposonix has application in virtually every area of the body where excess fat exists.  This procedure is performed without any anesthesia and no downtime, the perfect solution for patients on the go.  For patients who are extremely sensitive, a non steroidal anti-inflammatory medication can be given which still allows them to drive home without difficulty.
