Heather Baerga, RN, BSN
Clinical Supervisor Heather serves as Clinical Supervisor for the Hunstad Center. She oversees all clinical and surgical operations of the surgical center and maintains compliance for the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (Quad A) Certification. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-Charlotte. With 17 years of experience in nursing along with 13 years of emergency and critical care experience she brings a wealth of knowledge to the center. She is an expert, certified injector, ASAPS Physician Extender Certified and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses. The family, team-oriented atmosphere of the center is why Heather enjoys working and as a patient advocate she takes pleasure in befriending patients. |

Meena Patel RN, BSN
Clinical Specialist/Marketing Coordinator
Meena Patel currently serves as a Clinical Specialist and Marketing Coordinator. Having been at the practice for 12 years, Meena brings extensive experience and a high level of acumen to her current position. Some of her responsibilities include coordinating clinical studies, overseeing marketing efforts, delivering patient care and clinical decision-making. After graduating from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Meena pursued additional training and obtained the following certifications: Mesotherapy Certification Advanced Certified Nurse Injector Certified in Candela Laser Use Certified in Gas Sterilization Certified Smartlipo User
Meena is also a member of the
American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses.
Her professionalism and class provide each

Melissa Eirls, RN Surgical Nurse/Nurse Injector Melissa currently serves as a clinical nurse for The Hunstad Center as well as injector of dermal fillers and botox. With over 10 years of acute care post-surgical experience, Melissa brings an advanced knowledge of patient care to the practice. She has been at THC for 3 years. She previously traveled across the country for 6 years and worked in hospitals with nursing shortages. Michelle
Rife
Medical Aesthetician
Michelle Rife has served as a licensed aesthetician in
the skincare and medical field for over 8 years. She has many
responsibilities as an aesthetician at the Hunstad Med Spa including pre
and post operative care, skin care consultations, a variety of laser
procedures, chemical peels, microdermabrasions, as well as many other
facial and body treatments. Michelle has a passion for skincare and
helping her patients to achieve all of their skincare needs.

Casey Darling, CST
Certified Surgical Technologist
Clinical Assistant
Casey is a Certified Surgical Technologist and Clinical Assistant and is responsible for providing surgical and clinical assistance to the physicians and maintaining surgical and clinical inventory. In addition to assisting the doctors, she manages the web site content by ensuring information is current and accurate. She has been with the practice for five years and has a deep understanding of the importance of team work and self-discipline. Casey loves to laugh which brings smiles to the faces of her colleagues. In addition to sharing a hearty laugh, she appreciates seeing the step-by-step transformations of the patients and putting smiles on their faces.

Michelle Cox Medical Office Assistant / Surgical Technician Michelle has been in the medical field since 1999 working in labor & delivery, OBGYN, dermatology and plastic surgery. Michelle has direct patient care assisting the doctors with consultations and post-operative visits. She is excited to have the opportunity to learn so much every day from doctors and staff who are at the top of their field. Michelle enjoys the patient interaction and feels blessed to be a part of their time at The Hunstad Center.

Tammy Ryan RN, LA
Tammy has been a part of the The Hunstad Center team for 5½ years, working as a registered nurse and medical aesthetician. Her responsibilities include performing all aspects of skincare treatments, (laser, microdermabrasion, a wide variety of chemical peels, eyebrow shaping and body treatments, skincare consults, skin analysis, product sales post operative and follow up care of all surgical patients. Tammy is also a nurse injector skilled in all injectables: sclerotherapy, radiesse, sculptra, botox, juvederm, dysport and restylane. She brings 11 years of nursing experience to The Hunstad Center. Her diversity as a registered nurse and medical aesthetician allows her to be very versatile. She enjoys being able to lend a hand and interacting with all patients especially on the days when the surgical center is very busy. However, what she finds most fulfilling is assisting patients achieve their skincare needs.

Thompson, ST
Tina has worked in the
medical field since 2006. She is a surgical technologist from the
panhandle of Florida. She brings to The Hunstad Center her experience in
an array of surgical procedures. She has been with The Hunstad Center
for 6 months and has proven to be a vital part of our team. Tina's
passion is post-bariatric body lifting and contouring and witnessing the
life-changing journeys of our patients.

Marti DeCoste, LA
Medical Aesthetician
Marti has been with the Hunstad Center for 5 years. As a Medical Aesthetician, she works with physicians to customize skin care programs for patients and provides pre and post surgical treatments. She’s been in the skin care and medical field since 1989 and attended school in San Diego, California. The native Californian takes a holistic approach to care and favors techniques such as relaxation, aromatherapy and massage. She believes this benefits not just the body of post-op patients but their mind and spirit. She enjoys make-up and working with the World Burn Congress to provide image enhancement services to burn survivors and takes pleasure in establishing one-on-one contact. She considers patients family and loves making a difference in patients’ skin and self-esteem. Marti is certified as a Medical Assistant and Licensed Esthetician, Massage Technician, Reiki Level I and Image Enhancement Consultant for Burn Survivors. Medical Aesthetician
Kathy Hawks has served as the center’s Medical Aesthetician for 8 months and is responsible for pre and post patient treatment. With nearly 4 ½ years of experience in her field she brings extensive knowledge and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills which give a great feeling of comfort to the patients she treats. What she appreciates most about her job is interacting with patients and hearing the positive feedback from patient surgeries. |

Samantha Mason
Medi-Spa Assistant
Samantha’s role as Medi-Spa assistant affords her the opportunity to assist Aestheticians with ensuring the spa rooms are clean and organized. She also communicates regularly with sales and product representatives and patients. The detail-oriented individual has served with the Hunstad Center for the last 5 ½ years. She enjoys the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that the Medi-spa brings.

Ashley Helms
Surgery/Patient Coordinator
As the Hunstad Center’s Surgery/Patient Coordinator for the last three years, Ashley assists patients with pre-operative care and administrative matters such as license credentialing and ensuring compliance with HIPPA. With a total of six years of experience at the center, Ashley goes the extra mile to ensure a smooth and effortless surgical experience. Her favorite aspect of being a Surgery/Patient Coordinator is educating and guiding patients to feel good about the decisions they make. Ashley’s strong desire to help patients with any issues they may have not only helps to build confidence but aids in creating a positive patient experience.

Rosalie Natoli-Surgery
Patient Coordinator
Of the six years Rosalie has been with center, 3 ½ of those years she has spent as the Surgery/Patient Coordinator. In the role of Surgery/Patient Coordinator she assists patients with all aspects of pre and post operative care in order to help them feel confident in making informed decisions. She is also called upon to be an effective liaison between the patient, doctor and the surgical facility. Her unique ability to act as a “concierge” ready and willing to help puts her patients at ease. What she likes most about her job is interacting with patients and learning their story. The highlight of her day is witnessing transformations that are not just superficial, but internal.

Denise Hamilton Denise is currently our internal computer support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues along with training employees on new processes, fellowship program coordinator, handles the call schedule for the doctors, inventory and bookkeeper. In addition, since last October she has taken on processing and pre-certifying all health insurance claims for our patients. Denise is readily available to help when needed and enjoys what she’s doing.

Jane Pavlish
Patient Liaison
Jane serves as the first point of contact as a Patient Liaison. She is responsible for scheduling, office administration, and creating an inviting reception area for cosmetic surgery and Medi-Spa patients. With her assistance, the front office runs smoothly and patients are reassured by her knowledge and warm personality. She enjoys her job and the team-oriented environment at the center which she feels provides patients with a “better than ever expected” experience.

As a Patient Liaison, she

Joining the workforce after enjoying her role as
a stay-at-home mom for several years has been a

loves the energy and fast-paced environment at
the center and looks forward to meeting
and working with new patients.
