Endoscopic abdominoplasty
can achieve wonderful results for patients who have excess fat
and muscle laxity but no skin redundancy. In a case where
the skin is in good condition but there is a slight excess
of fat and laxity, endoscopic abdominoplasty can achieve very
nice results. This procedure consists of thorough
abdominal liposuction with a very strong muscle tightening that
is performed through inconspicuous incisions. The
incisions are placed inside of the umbilicus (belly button) and
within the pubic hair. This phase leaves virtually
no visible scar and a very thin, flattened, and tightened shape
and appearance. This procedure can usually be completed in
approximately two hours. The recovery is swifter than with
a standard abdominoplasty and relatively normal activity can be
resumed usually within two weeks.
