Glucosamine Sulfate is indicated for patients with osteoarthritis (OA). 

Glucosamine is a naturally occurring compound that plays an important role in joint health because it stimulates the manufacture of glycos-aminoglycans (GAGs)  - key structural components of cartilage.

The supplement can be used as an adjunctive therapy to medications such as COX-2 inhibitors (e.g., Celebrex®, Vioxx®).
